Empowering Individuals and Teams for Lasting Impact
Transforming healthcare, one team at a time.
My Story
I've been working in healthcare leadership for 16 years, starting as Chief Resident of Pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center, progressing to leadership of enterprise-wide projects through the power of earned influence, and eventually directing the Physician Provider Organizational Support Division and the Leadership Center for Physicians at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. As a second-year attending, I created a business plan that enabled me to be the first-ever internal medicine/pediatrics hospitalist at Duke, after seeing the need for innovation and advancement in pediatric care. I have never lost my frontline mindset, and firmly believe that good business practices lead to great medical care and outcomes.
As I've progressed in my career, I have come to realize that even the best practitioners are unable to provide optimal care when they are working on a dysfunctional team. I have used my approach to address burnout, retention issues, and negative patient experiences, and have a track record of offering million-dollar returns on investment to organizations looking to build resiliency.
I'm a strong believer that nothing is too broken to be fixed, and even great things can be optimized. I want to help your team grow and achieve their goals. I have a no-judgement approach to help your team figure out what metrics are meaningful for THEM, and enable them to take ownership of outcomes.
